No fewer than 8,127 professionals passed the entrance gates of CUE2020, an increase of 14.2% compared to the previous edition. The product range also increased by 20% more exhibition space.

New: CUE Experience
This edition had a scoop. For the first time during CUE it was allowed to actually show products in action in a therefore designated hall: CUE Experience. Reactions from exhibitors were very positive. Johan Gunsing, International Sales Manager (Adam Hall Group): "For us, CUE Experience has been very successful. It is an added value to experience hearing audio and showing the lights. For us, CUE is the home market of the Benelux.”

A real networking exhibition
Visitors are also enthusiastic about the exhibition. Rob van Tankeren Sales Manager Europe (Pan Acoustics): "CUE is a pleasant, well-organized exhibition with a complete range of exhibitors.” Visitors are also enthusiastic about the addition of CUE Experience: "I think the CUE Experience Hall has added value. You can view the luminaires without having to wait for a demo. This is especially important for the new innovations. Certainly a successful choice.”, says Bas Vlieland.

Positive vibe
Among the exhibitors there were many positive sounds about the course of the exhibition. Marloes Smit, Marketing at SHURE: "CUE is becoming increasingly important for us, especially for the Dutch market. There no longer is any similar exhibition in the Netherlands and CUE offers us the opportunity to network with many decision-making visitors.”. Roel Aertssen, Sales Netherlands at Jezet seating is also positive: "We are here from the beginning of CUE. Due to the high level of Cue, it is crucial for us to have a booth at this exhibition.”

Increase in number of visitors
In addition to the trusted technicians in the event industry and performing arts, CUE is also attracting more and more events and congress locations. This year, more Belgian visitors also went to the exhibition in Rotterdam Ahoy.

Inspirational knowledge programme
The VPT once again organized an extensive lecture under the name VPT Academy. In various well-attended workshops and lectures, visitors were inspired on current topics in the industry. Visitors really got a glimpse into the future with topics such as Xsens Motion Capture, VR LAB, BlackTrax and Hologauze.

CUE is also known for the many innovations that are presented at the exhibition. The VPT presented the VPT Innovation Prize to Ben Vrielink on Tuesday 14 January. He has won with his innovation OSC/ MIDI Trigger Hub. The winner of the CUE Audience Award will be announced next week.

The next edition of CUE will take place from 17 to 19 January 2022 in Rotterdam Ahoy.
